Audax Italiano vs Estudiantes Audax Italiano returns to the Copa Libertadores (third appearance in history, first since 2008) after finishing in third place in the Chilean league in 2021. However, the team are finding trouble this term. Last Saturday, they drew 1-1 away at Colo Colo to clinch their first point in three rounds so far. Overall, they haven’t claimed any wins in their last six competitive matches, drawing four and losing two since beating Everton 2-1 away in November. As hosts, Audax are on three without a win (two stalemates and one defeat). However, they have been hosting their…

Union - Atletico Tucuman Union Santa Fe secured a valuable point on their visit to Talleres following a scoreless draw last Thursday, when goalkeeper Sebastian Moyano stopped a penalty in the 93rd minute. As a result, El Tatengue are on four points in two rounds in the Copa Liga Profesional and also made it three league games unbeaten without even conceding, having won two and drawn one in that spell. At home, Gustavo Munua’s men won their last three matches (over Atletico Tucuman, Colon and River Plate). Things have been tough for Atletico Tucuman lately and recently-appointed coach Juan Manuel…

Barracas Central vs Tigre Barracas Central have a mountain to climb in their task of adapting to the top flight. Last Tuesday, they lost 2-0 away at Lanus and they were lucky to have avoided a heavier rout. El Guapo remain pointless in the Copa Liga Profesional and bottom in the relegation table, but they also managed only one regular-time victory in the last six league games if we count last season in the second tier (with two draws and three losses in that spell). On a positive note, Barracas lost only one of their last 18 home matches (winning…

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Leicester City I am betting Wolves here -0.25, Wolves face a poor defensive side in Leicester City they are rated as the 5th worst side in the premier league but that has changed and in a few weeks' time they will be the 3rd worst team as Watford and Newcastle are both defensively better due to recent signings and in Watford's case a change of coach too. Leicester is missing a whole host of players, our are Vardy, Evans, Fofana, Ryan Bertrand, Timothy Castagne as well as James Justin while James Maddison and Caglar Soyuncu are both…

West Ham vs Newcastle Utd I am betting under 2.75 goals here, Newcastle have defended very well of late and they face a West Ham side who have really struggled in games, they had to rely on a late goal to bring Kidderminster to extra time in the cup and even then, only went on to win the game with a goal at the end of extra time. I thought they were poor against Leicester last weekend and were lucky to beat Watford 1-0 with the aid of a deflected goal in their last match at home. Newcastle is at…

Colon - Godoy Cruz Lucas Beltran’s goal in the 86th minute gave Colon a valuable point on their visit to Boca Juniors last Sunday, when they managed a 1-1 away draw with coach Julio Falcioni making his debut. However, the team claimed a single win across the last five matches in league action, having drawn two and lost two in that span. On a positive note, Colon won seven and drew three of their last 11 home matches, losing only once. Gianluca Ferrari’s goal in the 93rd minute of the game allowed Godoy Cruz to save a point at home…

Tigre vs Central Cordoba Tigre registered a 1-1 away draw at Godoy Cruz on their return to the top flight last Friday, when they conceded the equaliser in stoppage time. However, the point allowed them to leave the relegation zone in their debut and also extend their unbeaten streak to eight competitive matches, having won five and drawn three in that spell. At home, El Matador also are on eight games without defeat, with five successes and three stalemates since they lost to San Martin Tucuman 1-0 in July. CA Central Cordoba opened up the season in perfect style last…

Argentinos Jrs vs Newell's Argentinos Juniors took a valuable 1-0 away success in a hard-fought game at Patronato last Thursday, when young striker Thiago Nuss netted the winner in his debut at the club. El Bicho took their first three points of the season and also made it three victories in the last four league games (along with a single defeat). After a poor campaign in 2021, Newell’s Old Boys showed great improvements last Thursday, when they beat Defensa y Justicia 1-0 at home in coach Javier Sanguinetti’s debut. Francisco Gonzalez’s goal allowed the team to take the first three…

Newcastle Utd vs Aston Villa I am betting Newcastle draw now bet and over 2.5 goals to be scored here, it is not difficult to see both teams getting on the score sheets this afternoon, both team's matches are averaging 3.09 goals per game and 3 goals per games respectively. The team news sees Ezri Konsa the Aston Villa centre back suspended for this match and they could name a team with Ings, Watkins, Ramsey and Coutinho all starting, which is very attacking and it could be a case Villa may struggle with getting the right balance between attack and…

Motherwell vs Aberdeen I am betting Aberdeen here -0.25, I was impressed with them midweek against a high-flying Celtic team, losing only by a goal in a 5-goal thriller. Motherwell were beaten against a poor Dundee United and Motherwell seem very much a hit and miss team, I don't believe their league position reflects the quality of the team and I believe they are probably a bottom half team. Aberdeen will also have midfielder Adam Montgomery who is on loan from Celtic back in their after he could not play against his parent club. I think Aberdeen are value to…
