I am betting on Germany here. They beat Hungary 2-0 in the Euros and I am expecting a similar result tonight. The Germans won that game at a canter and I think if they needed to win that match by more, they would have. Hungary was poor in the Euros, well beaten by the Swiss, and beat a Scotland team who were also dreadful with an undeserved winner in the last kick of the game. The Hungarian squad for this match looks light on experience, with a number of players having no international caps or just a handful of appearances for the national team. The Germans will be without Rudiger and Sane while Toni Kroos has retired from international football, but I still think they should have enough with the players coming in to win this and cover the handicap. To give an illustration of the difference between the two squads, Adam Nagy is expected to start today for Hungary; he plays for Spezia in Serie B, who finished 15th of 20 last season. Netherlands v Bosnia
I am betting on Bosnia +2 and under 3.25 goals to be scored here. There have to be some questions over where the Dutch goals will come from tonight to cover such a big handicap. Memphis Depay is still without a club and he would be the normal starting striker for the Dutch. Zirkzee or Weghorst don’t look full of goals, so it could mean Brian Brobbey with just 3 caps could lead the line. Additionally, Gakpo and Malen have started the season for their respective clubs slowly. Bosnia has lost 6 on the spin, but I do think they are better than that. There were glimpses in friendly matches against England and Italy of more to come, and with Sergej Barbarez having his first competitive game of his 2nd reign as Bosnia head coach, tonight he is sure to have his team fully motivated.

Georgia v Czech Republic
I am betting on the Czech Republic here -0.25. I think the betting markets have overreacted on the back of Georgia’s performances in the Euros. They were a fun team to watch but they were very open at times and borderline naive. They will be sure to give the Czech Republic a game, having drawn 1-1 in Euro 2024. Solely based on odds, I make the Czechs a bet here -0.25. They have a better squad and should have done better than they did at the Euros. When these teams met at the Euros, the xG was Georgia 1.11, Czech Republic 3.07 and approximately 0.75 of Georgia’s xG came from the penalty spot. The Czechs were much the better team and should have won the game, registering 27 shots to Georgia’s 5. I am betting the Czech Republic to get some revenge.

Faroe Islands v North Macedonia
I am betting on North Macedonia here -0.5. In the Euro 2024 qualification campaign, they took points from Italy and England at home and lost 3-2 due to a late goal to Ukraine. They beat Malta home and away, a team I would rank higher than the Faroes. The Faroes players mainly come from their own domestic league and players from 2nd divisions in the surrounding countries. They have been beaten by Estonia and Latvia of late, as well as both Moldova and Albania at home in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. North Macedonia has some decent players playing in good leagues.
