Racing vs Rosario Central

Tip: OVER 2 @ 1.89

Racing arrive off a frustrating 2-1 loss at Gimnasia that ended a long 13-match unbeaten league run. Even so, their home form is solid: seven league matches without defeat at home (four wins, three draws). Coach Gustavo Costas is expected to have his usual starters available.

Rosario Central, who topped the annual table in 2025, also stumbled in round one — conceding late and losing 2-1 after leading until the 88th minute. That result extended a poor stretch to four league matches without a win, and their recent away loss ended a long unbeaten run on the road.

Both sides created and conceded chances in recent games. Racing have one of the competition’s most potent attacks, while Central can still cause problems going forward. Given the attacking profiles, recent defensive lapses and both teams’ desire to bounce back, OVER 2 is the preferred market: expect an open, entertaining game with multiple scoring opportunities.

Estudiantes vs Boca

Tip: Boca DNB @ 2.09

Estudiantes started the season with a 1-1 away draw at Independiente, a match in which they could not fully capitalise despite the opposition being reduced to ten men for much of the second half. Domestically they have dropped their last two home league matches by 2-1 scores. Injuries and departures are a concern: Fernando Muslera is sidelined with Achilles tendon inflammation, Tiago Palacios remains out, and defensive midfielder Santiago Ascacíbar has been sold to Boca — a notable loss for the champions. Colombian striker Edwin Cetré is also unavailable.

Boca opened with a 1-0 home win and continue a strong run — seven wins from their last eight league matches. Their away form is encouraging, including recent victories at Estudiantes and Barracas Central. While Boca carry some injury absences (Miguel Merentiel, Milton Giménez and Carlos Palacios), they still look the more complete side and should exploit Estudiantes’ weakened midfield and attack.

Because Estudiantes will be missing key personnel and Boca are solid on the road, the safer play is Draw No Bet for Boca. If Boca win you win; if the game ends level you get your stake back — a reasonable tradeoff given the circumstances.
