Aberdeen vs Celtic

Celtic travel north to Aberdeen tonight and they are simply in irresistible form at present, they destroyed Rangers 3-0 this day last week and then at the weekend hammered Motherwell 4-0 and easily it could have been more. Aberdeen in contrast looked really poor at the weekend losing 2-1 against a 10-man Livingston team, they lost players in January Watkins and Hedges and they would seem to have lost creativity as a result. I think Celtic will have too much for the dons and -1 is worth a bet.

Celtic -1 min odds 1.83

Rangers vs Hibernian

Rangers’ tore Hearts apart in their last match-winning 5-0 at the weekend and it is difficult to see how Hearts neighbours Hibs can stop them tonight in Ibrox with Ranger’s star striker Alfredo Morellos back and scoring goals after being away on international duty with Colombia the past few weeks. Rangers will be fully motivated against a struggling Hibs team as a win could see them go back top of the Scottish Premiership depending on the result in Aberdeen, so betting Rangers -1.5.

Rangers -1.5 min odds 1.97

Hearts vs Dundee

I think Dundee are a dreadful team and the worst team in the league, they were well beaten at home to Ross County 2-1 with County even missing a penalty, they now travel to face Hearts, they have an under-pressure manager and a team who do not appear fit, I can only see this match going one way so I’m betting Hearts -1 to bounce back and take the 3 points after getting beat 5-0 by Rangers at Ibrox.

Hearts -1 min odds 2.01

Manchester City vs Brentford

I am betting Manchester City here today -2.5 and over 3.25 goals. This is a much a anti-Brentford bet as a pro-Man City bet but for me, Brentford have looked dreadful for quite some time, they were hammered last weekend v a very poor Everton team in the cup and on the back of that performance it is difficult to see how they can live with City at the Etihad tonight. City are close to a full squad, whereasBrentford are missing a number of players namely Bryan Mbeumo. They look wide open in recent games and I think this could be a very long night for the Londoners and would not be surprised to see City win this by 4, 5 or 6 goals.

Manchester City -2.5 min odds 1.95
Over 3.25 Goals scored min odds 1.82

Tottenham Hotspurs vs Southampton

I think Southampton are underrated going into this match, they are available +1 and they go into this with close to a full squad, Spurs have doubts too over midfielder Oliver Skipp and defender Eric Dier which is a positive for the Saints. Southampton played very well at home in their last match in the premier league drawing 1-1 with City and it was a deserved draw too. I think +1 is worth a go on the away side and make it a value bet.

Southampton + 1 min odds 1.83

Aston Villa vs Leeds United

Aston Villa -0.5 is my bet here and over 2.75 goals, I think they’re a long way ahead of Leeds who are still without key players Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips, the latter being irreplaceable for Leeds, also out is captain Liam Cooper. The problem Leeds have is with Phillips out they really have no protection in front of their defense and it is resulting in them shipping a lot of goals. Aston Villa are on a great run of form coming into this and were on a high heading into the international/winter break with new signings Coutinho and Digne giving the club a huge lift which showed on the pitch with a good win at a hostile Goodison Pak v Everton. I simply can’t see anything but a Aston Villa win and I also think the over 2.75 goals is worth supporting here as well, 6 of Leeds last 7 games have had at least 4 goals in them, they’re just far too open at present.

Aston Villa -0.5 min odds 1.80
Over 2.75 Goals scored min odds 1.90
