Arsenal vs Brighton
I am betting on Arsenal -1.25 and over 3 goals to be scored. Arsenal are expected to dominate a Brighton team that is still adjusting after several new signings. Brighton’s tendency to play out from the back could play into Arsenal’s hands as they press opponents very well. Brighton does have the potential to make it onto the score sheet, making the bet on over 3 goals sensible in what should be an open match.
Leicester City vs Aston Villa
I am betting on Aston Villa -0.5 here as they travel to midland rivals Leicester City. Leicester appear to lack the quality needed for the Premier League. They had a fortunate result against Spurs but were outplayed by Fulham last week. Villa, on the other hand, had a strong showing against Arsenal at home and previously won a tough away game against West Ham, making them a solid bet.
Ipswich Town vs Fulham
Fulham delivered a solid performance last week and I believe they can secure another win as they travel to newly-promoted Ipswich Town. While Ipswich might improve over time, their numerous recent signings will need time to integrate. Fulham’s team remains largely unchanged from last season, and at today’s odds, they are worth a bet on Fulham -0.25.
Everton vs Bournemouth
I’m betting on Everton (draw no bet). Despite a poor season so far, there are reasons for optimism for Everton: a recent 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers, several players returning to fitness, and new signings gaining minutes. Bournemouth lost key striker Solanke to Spurs which is a significant loss. Despite their strong performance against Newcastle, I don’t see Bournemouth as favorites at Everton, so betting on the Toffees feels justified.
West Ham vs Manchester City
I’m betting on West Ham +1.5. The Hammers have incorporated several new players who have had time to embed into the team. While their performances haven’t been outstanding, on paper their squad is strong. Given the significant handicap, they are worth a bet even against a formidable Manchester City.
