April 24, 2022 – Scottish Premiership: Ross County vs Celtic Tip Preview
Ross County vs Celtic
I am betting Celtic in what should be a very entertaining match, I am betting the Celtic -1.5 and the over goals, I don’t think it is impossible for Ross County to get on the score sheet today but I think Celtic will have far too much for them and can see them winning with ease. The motivation for Celtic is much higher and it does feel job done for County who are safe from relegation thanks to qualification for the top 6 playoff round. Both teams are averaging close to 3 goals and with County being so open and quite attacking i fancy at least 3 goals to be scored today so betting the overs.
Celtic -1.5 min odds 1.80
Over 3 goals to be scored min odds 1.86
Burnley vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
I am betting Wolves here away to Burnley, I just think it is such an ask for this Burnley to beat anyone, they play a Wolves team who were poor of late but who welcome back players and some big players as well. Wolves will have star striker Jimenez and midfielder Dendoncker should also start, Burnley are still without Ben Mee although Nathan Collins has come in and done a very good job, for me Burnley are vulnerable at the back and against a good Wolves side they may cough up chances and if Wolves can take the lead it could be difficult for our bet to lose, betting Wolves draw no bet.
Wolverhampton Wanderers 0 min odds 2.02
Liverpool vs Everton
The Merseyside derby takes place today and will see Everton travel across Stanley Park to face their bitter rivals Liverpool, it is hard to give Everton much of a chance with Liverpool being one of the best club sides at the moment in the World, probably the just 2nd best behind Manchester City and even then the gap has narrowed this season to where who is the better team is not a debate. Everton are without striker Calvert Lewin and Mina their centre back may also not be risked for the game, Liverpool won the first derby at Goodison at a packed Anfield it is difficult to see anything other than a handsome Liverpool win and backing them -2 and over 3.25 goals scored.
Liverpool -2 min odds 1.93
Over 3.25 Goals scored min odds 1.91
Racing Club vs Newell’s
Racing Club seem unbeatable at the moment: the side secured a 3-2 away success at Patronato even though coach Fernando Gago fielded an alternative XI last Wednesday. La Academia have virtually secured their ticket to the playoffs as they continue at the top of the group A table on 27 points. The team also extended their unbeaten streak to 12 league matches (nine victories and three draws).
Newell’s Old Boys took a big step towards the playoffs in the Copa Liga Profesional last Wednesday, when they secured an important 1-0 home success over Banfield thanks to a penalty netted by Juan Manuel Garcia. The team won six of their last eight league matches (along with one draw and one loss), including the last two, to make it 22 points in 11 games this term, occupying third place in group A. Seven of those points were grabbed on away turf as a product of two victories, one stalemate and two losses.
Racing is red hot at the moment but again I have to oppose them. They’ve almost secured a place in the playoffs, they play Copa Sudamericana midweek, and they will face a tough Newell’s that needs points to finish in the top 4 of the group, so I go here with the visitors.

Defensa y Justicia vs Platense
Despite having taken the first lead, Defensa y Justicia ended up losing 2-1 away at Sarmiento last Thursday in a six-pointer regarding the tickets for the playoffs. As a result, the team have been displaced from the qualifying spots as they remain on 18 points, two behind fourth-placed Argentinos Juniors, having won only one of their last five league games (along with two draws and two defeats). Furthermore, Defensa are on three winless matches at home in domestic action, drawing two and losing one since beating Gimnasia LP 3-2 in round four.
Platense recently-appointed coach Omar De Felippe has a lot of work to do to find his team’s best version. Last Tuesday, the side lost 3-0 at home to Gimnasia LP to make it eight league games without a win (earning a single point since beating Sarmiento in round three). Following this terrible run, El Calamar have dropped down to the 24th place in the relegation table, accumulating only eight points in 11 games this term. On away turf, El Calamar are on nine matches without a win, drawing four and losing five in that time.
This could be the last chance for Defensa y Justicia to get into the playoffs zone, and although they’ve been struggling lately they should be able to beat this very poor Platense at home.
BET: Defensa y Justicia -0.75 @ 1.83
Godoy Cruz vs Lanus
Godoy Cruz left very good impressions in their 1-1 away draw at Boca Juniors last Wednesday, when they dominated the game for most of the time. However, the team are on five league matches without a win (one loss and four draws in a row). El Tomba accumulated 12 points in 11 games in this competition and remain occupying one of the relegation spots, two points behind Sarandi Arsenal and Atletico Tucuman in the respective table.
Lanus put an end to their eight-match winless streak of four draws and four defeats in the Copa Liga Profesional last Wednesday, when they secured a much-needed 3-1 home success over Rosario Central. That result also allowed them to climb out of the bottom spot in group B, accumulating ten points and leapfrogging their opponents. However, El Granate also are on eight away matches without a win in league action, drawing two and losing six since beating Argentinos Juniors in October.
Godoy Cruz has the worst defense in the league with 20 goals conceded in 11 games, Lanus always has a powerful attack despite their poor form lately, so I expect goals here.
