Aldosivi – Godoy Cruz
Aldosivi are facing trouble again. Last time out, the team lost 2-0 away at Huracan in a six-pointer, which dropped them down to the bottom spot in the points average table (level with Godoy Cruz). After a positive run, the team deflated their performance and succumbed to three consecutive losses, which means they remain on 13 points, sitting in a mid-table place in the league rankings.
Godoy Cruz’s new boss Diego Flores had a perfect debut last time out as his team managed a 4-0 home success over Gimnasia LP, with Martin Ojeda netting a brace. The team put an end to a four-match winless streak of one draw and three defeats to make it 13 points in the Liga Profesional. El Tomba remain occupying the bottom spot in the relegation table, but now level with Aldosivi.
Both are very irregular but considering the hosts will get some important players back from injury and suspension, I think these odds are too high and worth a bet.

Independiente – Lanus
Independiente continue producing a remarkable campaign in the Liga Profesional. In round ten, the team showed a good version and earned a point following a 1-1 hard-fought draw at River Plate. El Rojo succumbed to a single defeat in ten matches, winning five and drawing four to make it 19 points in the league table (one behind leaders Talleres and Lanus). Julio Falcioni’s men have been unbeaten at their own stadium in this tournament (having not even conceded), registering three victories and two draws.
Lanus remain as one of the league leaders (alongside Talleres) despite having drawn 1-1 at home against Sarmiento in round ten, when they conceded the equaliser in the fifth minute of stoppage time. However, El Granate are unbeaten in their last three league matches (two victories and one draw). With 20 points in the league table, they remain out of the Copa Libertadores’ spots. Luis Zubeldia’s men have been confident on away turf in this tournament, registering three successes and a single loss.
Lanus has the best attack but also the worst defense in the league, and I expect an open game here between these two championship candidates.

Gimnasia – Velez
Gimnasia LP new coach Nestor Gorosito suffered a terrible debut last time out. His team succumbed to a devastating 4-0 away defeat at Godoy Cruz, which extended their winless streak to five league matches (two draws and three defeats): El Lobo remain on ten points in as many games and have dropped down to the 21st place in the relegation table (only three points above bottom-placed Aldosivi and Godoy Cruz).
Velez Sarsfield seem to be returning to their usual standards. Last time out, the team managed a highly-celebrated 4-0 home win over Union Santa Fe. El Fortin are unbeaten in their last four league matches (winning three and drawing one) and have accumulated 13 points in the Liga Profesional, which allowed them to remain at the top of the 2021 aggregate table.
Velez is going back to their old form, they come from a big win and will visit this Gimnasia that has conceded in 4 of their last 5 games, so a couple of goals looks very possible.
