November 22nd, 2022 – FIFA World Cup 2022 Tip Previews

Argentina v Saudi Arabia

Argentina is one of the favourites for the tournament but this is still a very big handicap line, Argentina were -2 at nearly even money last night, now the line has basically moved a full handicap to +2.25 and I now think Saudi Arabia could be a bet as well as the correlated unders. Asian teams have been poor so far in the tournament but there are positives for the Saudis going into this match, first this is as close as Saudi will ever get to a home tournament, they will have massive support in the stadium as their fans will travel across the border to support their team and as well as that the game will be played at the hottest point of the day so we could see a game played a slower pace which should help the Saudis and our bets and third the team have been together the last 2 months in a training camp in preparation for the tournament. Saudi Arabia only conceded 10 goals in 18 qualification matches and 4 of those matches were against Japan and Australia, 2 teams that have also made the word cup so not minnow nations wither. They will will arrive fit from their training camp and whilst they are rank outsiders I think +2.25 and under 3.25 goals are value bets in my book given they have a number of conditions in their favour.

Denmark v Tunisia

I am betting Denmark -0.75 here, I think they have moved to a backable price, they are real dark horses for the tournament and they face the weakest of the African nations in Tunisia. The Tunisians are a very defensive team but the Danes should have the ability to get by them. They are a side made up from lesser European league and smaller teams of the bigger leagues, they have no Sadio Mane in their ranks and they come into match having just won 1 of their last 12 games in world cups. In the last African Nations cup in January of this year they scored just 5 goals and 4 came against the Mauritania. The Danes have key man Christian Eriksen back pulling the strings and players like Delaney, Hojberg, Dolberg, Poulsen and Skov should be able to find their way past the North Africans so betting Denmark -0.75.

Mexico v Poland

I am betting Poland here +0.25, I’m surprised just how much the market has moved for this match in favour of Mexico, I make Mexico and Poland nearly identical in terms of ratings and with the move for Mexico i now make Poland a bet getting +0.25 on the handicap line. Mexico will start Henry Martin from Mexican club side America up top instead of Wolves striker Raul Jimenez who is just back from injury and I just think Poland match up very well to Mexico when you compare squads. I think this is a much not lose game for both sides and with the goal line being just 2 it is firmly pointing towards a low scoring game; I think I would rather be on the underdog in this game so betting Poland +0.25.

Poland +0.25 min odds 1.82

France v Australia

I am betting France here, Yes they are missing players, Pogba, Kante and Benzema are all out of the tournament but France simply have way too much quality not to bet -1.5 when they face the Socceroos’ tonight. France will have a front 3 of Giroud, Griezmann and Mbappe, Australis’s front 3 is made up of players playing in their domestic league. In Past tournaments Australia would have had players from some players in decent teams in Europe’s top leagues now they have players from the lesser lights of the Scottish Premiership and the English championship, there is simply a chasm between the quality of these 2squads and i think France even with players missing will simply be too much for a team that scrapped into the tournament as Asia’s 5th team betting France -1.5.

France -1.5 min odds 1.86
