Chelsea vs Liverpool
I am betting Liverpool here today on the -0.25 in today’s league cup final, they’re in excellent form going into this match after beating Leeds 6-0 in midweek, whilst Chelsea have struggled recently, they only got a late win away to Crystal Palace last weekend, they are 7 points behind Liverpool in the league and I think it is fair to say Liverpool are a level above, the summer transfer of Lukaku has not worked for Chelsea and Liverpool appear to have just so much fire power compared to the Londoners. Liverpool may make a change in goal with Kelleher coming in for Alison however Chelsea could well make a similar change with Kepa coming in for Mendy but other than that both sides should name their strongest 11 available to them and I just think Liverpool are a team in better form and have more players who can score a goal, betting Liverpool -0.25.

Sarmiento vs Union
Sarmiento played their worst game this season and succumbed to a 2-0 away defeat at Platense, which means the team remain on four points in three rounds in the Copa Liga Profesional, but most importantly, the side continue edging closer the relegation zone, occupying now the 26th place in the points average table. They won only one of the last ten league matches, along with two draws and seven defeats. At home, Sarmiento registered one victory, two stalemates and two losses across their last two games. Coach Israel Damonte will be without Lisandro Lopez on Sunday due to a muscle problem.
Union Santa Fe continue improving game after game. Last Tuesday, the team managed a highly-celebrated 1-0 home success over Atletico Tucuman thanks to a goal from Jonathan Alvez in the second half. Therefore, Gustavo Munua’s men made it seven points from nine on offer in the Copa Liga Profesional to become one of the group A leaders. In fact, El Tatengue won five of their last seven league games, drawing one and losing one in that spell.
Union has been really solid so far this season and I like their chances of climbing to the top of the group with a win.

Estudiantes vs Arsenal
Estudiantes remain perfect in the Copa Liga Profesional. Last time out, the team managed a valuable 2-1 home success over Lanus to make it nine points from nine available and stay at the top of the group B table. In fact, Ricardo Zielinski’s men won six and drew three of their last ten league matches, only losing to Aldosivi at home in that spell. At their own stadium, El Pincha registered seven victories, five draws and one loss across their last 13 domestic games. On Wednesday 23, Estudiantes lost 1-0 away at Audax Italiano from Chile in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores’ second qualifying round. Jorge Morel returns from suspension and the full squad are available for Sunday, but coach Ricardo Zielinski will rotate his players.
Sarandi Arsenal claimed their first success under coach Leonardo Madelon last weekend, when beating Huracan 2-1 at home thanks to goals from Sebastian Lomonaco and Alexander Diaz. The team put an end to a six-game winless streak of three draws and three defeats, made it four points in the Copa Liga Profesional and opened a 11-point healthy gap over the relegation zone in the respective table. On a sorry note, Arsenal are on 14 away matches without a win in domestic action, having drawn three and lost 11 since beating Defensa y Justicia 1-0 in April.
Estudiantes will rotate some of their starters because they play midweek in Copa Libertadores, but they are still a solid team that can score anytime especially at home, so I’m expect goals here.

River vs Racing
Thanks to goals from Juan Fernando Quintero and Robert Rojas, River Plate managed an important 2-0 away success at Newell’s Old Boys last Sunday. Therefore, the defending champions are now on six points in the Copa Liga Profesional and they entered the qualifying zone in group A. At home, El Millonario lost only one of their last 13 league matches, having claimed ten triumphs and two draws in that time.
Racing Club played their best game of the season last Tuesday, when they managed to beat Argentinos Juniors (who were group A leaders beforehand). As a result, La Academia made it five points in three rounds (one behind their last opponents who occupy the last qualifying spot) and four league games without defeat (two victories and two draws). Nevertheless, Fernando Gago’s men grabbed a single point across their last three away matches (since beating Atletico Tucuman 2-0 in November.
If River is playing at home I always expect goals, but Racing has also scored lately with Edwin Cardona as an important piece of their attack, so I’m going with the OVER here.
