Godoy Cruz vs Huracan
Godoy Cruz dropped down to the 24th spot in the relegation table (only above Huracan and Sarmiento) as a result of their 3-1 away defeat at Lanus last Monday. Sebastian Mendez’s men suffered three losses in their last four games (only beating River Plate in the process) to accumulate nine points in six rounds. Six of those points were grabbed at Estadio Feliciano Gambarte, where El Tomba registered two victories and one defeat.
Huracan produced a poor performance in round six and had to settle for a 0-0 home stalemate against Union Santa Fe, which extended their winless streak to five league matches (three draws and two defeats). Frank Kudelka’s men made it six points in the Liga Profesional so far, which places them in the 25th spot of the relegation table, only above Sarmiento. On away turf, El Globo haven’t claimed any victories in the last six, drawing four and losing two.
Even if they are not really a reliable team, Godoy Cruz at home has to be better than this very poor Huracan that struggles everywhere.

Velez vs Lanus
Velez Sarsfield are yet to win in the Liga Profesional after their 2-0 away defeat to River Plate last Saturday. Even though they remain occupying one of the Copa Libertadores’ places thanks to their remarkable campaign in the first semester, the team are now bottom-placed with only three points in this tournament, having not found the back of the net in the first six games.
Lanus remain second-placed in the Liga Profesional’s table on 13 points from 18 available (trailing leaders Independiente by one) thanks to their 3-1 home success over Godoy Cruz last Monday. Having won two and drawn one of their last three games, El Granate also approached the Copa Libertadores’ spots in the 2021 aggregate table (they are two points below fourth-placed Velez Sarsfield at the moment. El Granate have been perfect on the road so far, beating Colon and Huracan.
Velez couldn’t even score a goal in 6 rounds, they are better than that and soon should improve, but Lanus can be a tough and dangerous team and should take something from this game.

Boca vs Patronato
Boca Juniors remain struggling in the Liga Profesional. Last Sunday, they lost 1-0 away at Estudiantes, which dropped them down to the 24th spot with only four points (and eight points away from the Copa Libertadores’ spots in the aggregate table). In fact, coach Miguel Angel Russo left the club after nine games without a win in league action, drawing six in regular time and losing three. At home, El Xeneize lost to San Lorenzo and drew with Argentinos Juniors in this tournament.
Thanks to a goal from Leandro Marin in the second half, Patronato managed to beat CA Central Cordoba 1-0 at home, which broke their three-match winless streak of two draws and one defeat. The team made it 11 points in six rounds to continue increasing their points average (sitting in 21st spot in the relegation table). On away turf, Ivan Delfino’s men grabbed four points so far as a product of one win, one draw and one loss.
As bas as Boca has been this season so far and that they are in the middle of a coach change, I feel like this line is too low and worth a bet.
