Gimnasia vs Aldosivi

Gimnasia arrived at River Plate reduced to ten men early and were outplayed in a 2-0 loss, but that defeat came under difficult circumstances. They still have three points from two rounds of the Torneo Apertura and, importantly, they are the better team at home: two wins and four losses in their last six but capable of dominating opponents when at full strength.

Aldosivi have struggled to find attacking rhythm in 2026. Two home games produced a 0-0 and they remain without scoring in the opening rounds. Tigre vs Racing

Tigre have momentum at home — seven matches unbeaten (three wins, four draws) — and they picked up a useful 1-1 away draw at Belgrano after leading until late. That resilience makes them difficult to contain in front of their own supporters.

Racing have started poorly this season, losing at home and still searching for points. Despite results, Racing remain an attack-oriented club and in recent fixtures their matches have produced goals. Both of Racing’s opening-season games finished 1-2 and they will be keen to arrest the slide by pushing forward, which increases the chance of goals at both ends.

The low totals line underestimates the attacking potential and the likelihood Racing push forward to get a result. Over 1.75 is a sensible way to capture matches where both teams create chances and where one side’s desperation can open up space for goals.
