If you have been following the drama on X (formerly Twitter), you will know there is talk of Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg having a cage fight. It probably is a joke and won’t go ahead but it hasn’t stopped the bookies pricing up the outcome.
Musk vs Zuckerberg odds
Unibet UK have a special making Zuckerberg 2/5 (1.4) and Musk 7/4 (2.75). Unibet are on Oddschecker so I expect sooner or later be able to be able to compare odds but for now it seems like they are the only UK bookie to offer prices.
Are the odds right?
There are many factors that could influence the outcome of a cage fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, such as their physical attributes, fighting skills, mental toughness, and motivation (and of course whether its fixed).
Mark Zuckerberg
Advantages: He has been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a martial art that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. He has competed in gi and no gi tournaments and won two out of three bouts1. He is younger than Elon Musk by 12 years, which could give him more stamina and agility.
Disadvantages: He is shorter and lighter than Elon Musk, which could put him at a disadvantage in terms of reach and strength. He may not have much experience in striking or defending against strikes, which are common in cage fights. He may also be less aggressive or confident than Elon Musk, who is known for his bold and ambitious personality.
Elon Musk
Advantages: He is taller and heavier than Mark Zuckerberg, which could give him an edge in terms of reach and strength. He has some background in martial arts, such as yokushin karate, taekwondo, and judo2. He is also very competitive and driven, which could make him more determined and resilient in a fight.
Disadvantages: He may not have trained in martial arts for a long time or at a high level, which could make him less skilled or proficient than Mark Zuckerberg. He may also be more prone to injuries or fatigue, as he is older and has a busy and stressful lifestyle.
Based on these factors, I think the outcome of a cage fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk would be unpredictable and depend on many variables. However, if I had to make a guess, I would say that Mark Zuckerberg has a slight advantage over Elon Musk, because he has been more focused and consistent in his martial arts training, which could give him an edge in technique and strategy. However, Elon Musk could still surprise Mark Zuckerberg with his size, power, and creativity. Ultimately, it would be a close and exciting fight to watch.
Value Bet
It probably won’t go ahead though. My thinking its just a high level PR stunt. All bets would probably be voided. I guess given how close the match could be, the value bet is on Musk at 7/4.
