Tottenham’s awful start to the Premiership season continued last Sunday as they were beaten 2-1 by Stoke, in a game which saw Stoke also miss a last minute penalty and Spurs finish with nine men. Boss Juande Ramos is now under tremendous pressure, and once again will welcome the break that the UEFA Cup has given his side this year. Their only victory of the campaign came in this competition a month ago, and Ramos will view this as a springboard for better things. They will not have an easy task when they visit the Stadio Friuli however, as Udinese currently sit second in Seire A, just two points behind Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan.
