September 27, 2008 by Filed under: horse racing

Rainbow View was slashed to 7-4 from 3-1 for the 1000 Guineas by William Hill today after a superlative victory in the Group One Fillies? Mile. The daughter of Dynaformer has firmly cemented her place as Winter favourite for the first Fillies? Classic of the year after her victory today, and Hills also make her 9-2 (from 8-1) favourite for the Oaks.

Luca Cumani?s filly Fantastia ran a valiant second in the Ascot contest on ground that may have been too quick for a daughter of Sadler?s Wells, and has also been cut to 8-1 from 14-1 for the Guineas, and 12-1 from 25-1 for the Oaks.

Kate Miller, spokeswoman for Hills, said: ??This was Rainbow View?s biggest test to date and she passed with flying colours. She got very warm in the preliminaries and it appeared that the occasion may have gotten to her, but she truly showed her superiority on the track and maintains her standing as the best juvenile filly in training. ??
