Irish betting firm Paddy Power are planning to offer live betting in-running for the full duration of tomorrow’s US Presidential Election. The bookmaker, who famously paid out over €1,000,000 on Obama as next President three weeks ago, has pledged to offer betting on their website www.padddypower.com until the fat lady sings and a winner is declared.
To date a staggering €2,500,000 has been wagered on the US election with Paddy Power and the bookmaker is expecting this figure to grow “a lot more” before the election is called on Wednesday morning.
Paddy Power said “We’re squirreling away a few cases of Red Bull for our political betting traders ahead of the main event tomorrow. We plan to offer betting right up until the chequered flag is waved on Election 2008. Hopefully we won’t have a repeat of the debacle in 2000, I don’t think the lads could survive that long without sleep”
Obama in now 1/14 with Paddy Power to become next President with McCain available to back at 13/2.
