Labour Favourite to keep Glasgow seat

THE GLASGOW East by-election is shaping up to be the biggest betting by-election, with the odds suggesting that Labour are increasingly likely to hold this important seat. Hills currently make Labour 2/5 favourites to win the by-election, with bets of up to £2200 for them to win, while the SNP are now quoted at 7/4 with four £1000+ bets; the Conservatives are 33/1 and the Lib Dems 50/1.
‘This is Labour’s third safest seat in Scotland and therefore it is not surprising that they are favourites to hold on to the seat. But that has not stopped a number of our clients backing the SNP to sneak a win,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
