England to Win 2-0 According to Punters
October 9, 2008 by Ben Filed under: Football
WILLIAM HILL have had to cut the odds about England beating Kazakhstan 2-0 from 7/1 to 6/1 after taking a string of bets left them with a hefty potential payout. ‘We have seen one bet of £1000 in a London shop, another of £800 and numerous smaller, three figure bets for a 2-0 win, which have left us with a potential £50,000 loss on 2-0 in the correct score market’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
‘Punters are clearly not expecting an England landslide win, as we have also seen a gamble in the ‘double result’ market in which our 6/1 for England to be level at half time before winning at full time has been so well backed that we have acquired another substantial five figure liability’
Hills have opened a book on how many goals England will scoe against Kazakhstan, and make THREE their 3/1 favourite:

1 9/1
2 5/1
3 3/1
4 10/3
5 5/1

Hills are also betting on how many hat-trick hero Walcott will get:

AN UNEXPECTED gamble on Faroe Islands to beat Austria at the weekend has caused William Hill to cut their odds from 16/1 to 11/1 after they took a stream of three figure bets.
