Croatia v England Betting
September 9, 2008 by Ben Filed under: Football
Following an uninspiring display against Andorra on Saturday, England take on arguably their main rivals in Group 6 when they travel to Zagreb to meet Slaven Billic’s Croatia. Joe Cole was again the saviour for England as he came on as a half-time sub to score the winning goals in Barcelona, following a subdued first half display from England.
A better performance will be needed against the classy Croatians, who were comfortable 3-0 winners over Kazakhstan at the weekend. Tottenham’s Luka Modric was amongst the scorers for the Croats, and he is just one of a number of danger men England will have to keep quiet if they hope to take anything away from the Stadion Maksimir on Wednesday night.
England are 21/10 with Centrebet to grab a crucial win in Zagreb, while Croatia are 7/5 with VCbet to continue their impressive form under Slaven Billic with another victory.
If Frank Lampard scores at anytime during Croatia v England, BGbet will refund all losing first goalscorer stakes on the match.
If Croatia v England finishes 0-0 BGbet will refund all losing correct score bets on that game.
If any substitute scores the last goal, Paddy Power will refund all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles on the match.
I still think Croatia should be odds on and this is the bet of the round. 2.4 at VC Bet is a good price.
