Steve Davis Odds on Winning the World Snooker Championship.

We may have just witnessed the biggest shock in World Snooker Championship history. 52 year old Davis knocked out current champion John Higgins with a thrilling 13-11 victory.William Hill say they already face a million pound payout on 500/1 shot Steve Davis.

‘One client from Fleet in Hampshire opened a new account purely to stake a £100 bet on Steve Davis for the World Title at 500/1, and we have taken scores more bets for him at 500/1 before he played Higgins – if he wins the payout will be into seven figures, and he is now down to 16/1 to win the tournament – while we are eve quoting him at 33/1 to become this year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year winner’ said William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe. ‘He is certainly the most interesting player in the tournament as far as we are concerned.’

Premiership and FA Cup Outlook after the weekend

Chelsea are now just 4/9 to win the domestic league and cup double with Irish bookmaker, Paddypower. An excellent weekend for the champions elect make them red hot favourites for both awards.

Having seen main title rivals Manchester United stumble with a draw at Blackburn Sunday Paddy Power now offer 2/7 for Chelsea to win their first league title in four years with Sir Alex Ferguson’s side slipping to third in the betting at 6/1 from 5/2. Arsenal are in-between at 5/1 with their season arguably hinging on the North London derby at White Hart Lane on Wednesday. Even so, the title is Chelsea’s to lose now.
