Liverpool not to make the top 4 – Odds 8/15

William Hill now make Liverpool 11/8 to finish in the top four following their win at Villa, and 8/15 not to. ‘The win at Villa was just what Rafa needed to keep his ‘top four guarantee’ a realistic prospect’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. Liverpool were fortunate with a stoppage time goal from Fernando Torres. The 0-0 results looked on the cards until Torres struck with just minutes to go.

Sports Personality of the year 2010 odds

It does not seem that long ago when Ryan Giggs won BBC sports personality of the year. The 66/1 outsider ended up pipping odds on favourite Jenson Button to the race.

Irish Bookmaker, Paddypower have released the odds for the 2010 race. Current favourite is Andy Murray, surely with the expectation that he will win something this year. All bets will be off if he wins Wimbledon but thats a big if. At 2/1, you are probably best off just betting on him to win Wimbledon straight.

Bolton Manager Sacked – Hughes Favourite for job

Mark Hughes is the opening favourite with Paddy Power to be the next Bolton manager following Gary Megson’s sacking today. The club said, “The decision has been taken in the light of the position the club finds itself in the Barclays Premier League at the halfway point of the season.” Fans were calling for Megson’s head even before the 2-2 home draw with Hull in which they were 2-0 up.

Hughes is 11/4 for a quick return to management following his recent exit at Manchester City with Alan Curbishley the next name in the frame at 6/1.
