Odds on Burnley being relegated and staying up.
Monday, August 24th, 2009So after 3 games, Burnley are sitting in 7th place. With the fixture list they way it was, Burnley manager, Owen Coyle will be on cloud 9. Even the most die hard Burnley fans could have thought this was possible.
Not many teams get anything from the Britannia Stadium so the opening day defeat was not a disaster. Newly promoted teams like Burnley usually live or die by their home form. That has, in a word been, exceptional. Who’d have thought that Burnley would beat Manchester United? The bookies certainly didn’t offering 10/1 on the Burnley win. On Sunday, they beat Everton 1-0 too. Saha missed a penalty so Everton could have got something from the game.

Championship Handicaps 2009 – 2010
Tuesday, August 4th, 2009Following on from the previous post about Premiership Handicaps, this one is about the Championship. This has been a hard league to bet in. On any given day, the top team can be beat by the bottom team. Many a punter have lost money on this league. Its particularly tough this year as long established Premiership teams, Newcastle and Middlesbrough are in the mix.
Premiership Handicaps 2009 – 2010
Tuesday, August 4th, 2009With just over a week left to go until the Premiership kicks off I am going to have a look at the Premiership Handicap Race. This gives a good idea of what the bookies think will happen. All teams are given a handicap apart from the team that the bookie thinks will win it. Well, they do get a handicap but its +0. Everyone else gets a handicap. At the end of the season the actual points and handicaps are added together and the winner is the one with the most points.
