Who would have thought that the Chelsea/ Liverpool game would have ended with the score 4-4. After the thrilling first leg, most pundits and tipsters were looking at a ‘low scoring’ more traditional encounter. A comedy of errors and some brilliance made this a Champions League classic though.

Mon Mome won the Grand National at 100/1, Angel Cabrera beat Tiger Woods to win the US Masters golf major at 100/1, Chelsea and Liverpool played out a 4-4 draw – another 100/1 shot, leaving bookmakers William Hill declaring the results: ‘The greatest hat trick of major sporting upsets in a row that we can recall in the last thirty years’ according to Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
