Bookies William Hill lost just £146 after Stephen Hendry scored a maximum in his World Championship quarter-final match at the Crucible. Hills had been offering 4/6 that there would not be one and 11/10 that there would be and you can now get 5/2 that there will be a second 147 at the Crucible.

Chelsea Odds for Champions League 3/1

Despite a great 0-0 draw in Barcelon, Chelsea are still only 3/1 third favourites to win the Champions League with William Hill, who still make Barcelona favourites at 2/1 with Man U 9/4 and Arsenal 7/2. ‘Chelsea still have to complete the job at home and we think Barca will fancy their chances of scoring at Stamford Bridge after spurning a couple of great chances in the first leg’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Odds on Ipswich being Promoted 2009/10 season

The big news today is that Roy Keanne has been installed as the new Ipswich manager. Signing a 2 year contract Keane to a press conference

“I would like to try and do it (win promotion) in one year, if I was not up for it I would be walking my dogs. I think my dogs needed a break.”

Keane has some pedigree here. In 2006 he took the struggling Sunderland from 2nd bottom of the Championship to the top, securing promotion and more importantly a second season in the Premiership.

Chelsea vs Liverpool 4-4 odds at 100/1

Who would have thought that the Chelsea/ Liverpool game would have ended with the score 4-4. After the thrilling first leg, most pundits and tipsters were looking at a ‘low scoring’ more traditional encounter. A comedy of errors and some brilliance made this a Champions League classic though.

Odds on Mark Hughes To be Sacked Shorten

AFTER losing to Hamburg, Manchester City are now 11/4 with William Hill to get through to the next round and 9/1 to win the tournament while Mark Hughes is 8/11 to be gone by the first day of next season (evens still to be there).

Ireland gave City a first minute lead but Mathijsen scored for Hamburg after 9 minutes. After the break, Trochowski scored a penalty and Guerrero scored in the 79th minute to take a great advantage to Eastlands.

Shearer pushes out Newcastle relegation odds

Following the announcement that veteran Alan Shearer has become the new Newcastle manager, leading Irish Bookmaker has lengthened the odds of Newcastle to be relegated from 11/10 to 6/5.
