The Ryder Cup, Valhalla Country Club, Kentucky, Betting Preview

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Nick Faldo’s European side begins it’s search for a fourth straight Ryder Cup victory on Friday when they face Paul Azinger’s US side at the Valhalla Country Club in Louisville Kentucky. Following convincing 9 point victories in the last two Ryder Cups, confidence will be high amongst the Europeans, especially Irishman Padraig Harrington. Having successfully defended his Open crown at Royal Birkdale earlier this year, the Irishman then won his first Major in America when he claimed the PGA Championship at Oakland Hills in Michigan last month. Harrington will be seen as one of the leaders of the side, although Europe’s strength has always come from its team mentality and the players’ ability to adapt to playing as a team, in stark contrast to recent American sides. Rachel winning Strictly Come Dancing (SCD) Odds?

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

William Hill have slashed Rachel Stevens from 9/2 to 4/1 to win Strictly Come Dancing following a number of sizeable bets. “All the rumours are that Rachel is miles ahead of the competition and punters are piling on. But being the best dancer is not always a good thing as viewers warm to contestants that are constantly improving, so do not cleanout the piggy bank just yet,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.

Thats not actually too suprising considering she used to be in S Club 7 who were effectively just a bunch of good looking dancers. She’ll definitly be getting the male vote too. Maybe worth a flutter at William Hill.
